A Look Inside Our Annual Group Interviews at Camp Jack Hazard
/Every spring, we head to Graceda Park in Modesto to run our group interview, and every year, we're blown away by the caliber of young people who show up!
These aren't just summer camp applicants. They're early-career professionals learning how to:
- Show up on time and prepared
- Work alongside people they just met
- Take direction and give it
- Handle feedback without checking out
- Communicate clearly under a little pressure
Camp counseling is often a young person's first real leadership role. At Camp Jack Hazard, they're not answering phones. They're responsible for the safety, growth, and happiness of kids in the Sierra Nevada for weeks at a time. That's real accountability.
This summer, we've seen unprecedented interest in our staff positions, and most spots are already filled. But if you know a college student or recent grad who has what it takes, don't wait. Have them give us a call directly at 209-965-7254. We'd love to hear from them.
